How Olav uses your data

Collection of personal data. When you purchase a product from our site, you may have the option to register on our site. If you do not register, you will be able to checkout as a guest. When you order a product from our site, you will in all cases need to provide us with personal information, such as your name, email address and postal address, so that we can process your order and payment and deliver your purchase in accordance with the obligations set out in our Delivery Terms. Without this information we will not be able to process your order. When you complete your order, the information required to complete your order will be marked with an *. You may also be able to create an account with us without placing an order. If you choose to do so, you will provide us directly with data subject to our website terms of use and this privacy policy. Customer service related communications with us. We may also collect personal data from you when you communicate with us. For example, you may send us personal information via email when you create an account or register for another service. We may send emails to the email address you provide to verify your account and for operational and information purposes, such as customer management, customer service or system maintenance. The legal basis for this is Art. 6 (1) 1 lit. b DSGVO. By providing us with your email address either by registering an account or directly by email, you understand that we may respond to you by email. Depending on the reasons why you are communicating with us, we may be responding to a particular service request under our terms of supply or use (or to progress a sale), so we need to respond to fulfil our obligations. We do not share your email address with third parties to promote their products or services by sending marketing emails directly to you without your consent. Marketing opt-out. If you initially opt-in to receive emails from us at the time we collect your data or make an opt-in offer, but later come to the view that you would like to change your preferences, you can use the unsubscribe link at the bottom of the email to withdraw your consent to receive future emails or contact us at any time with such a request (see our contact details below). We will process your request within a reasonable time after receipt. If you have purchased a product from us, created an account with us or contacted us regarding your purchase, please note that we will communicate with you in relation to such order or account to respond to your comments and enquiries even if you no longer wish to receive marketing emails. Surveys. We may contact you from time to time regarding participation in online surveys. If you choose to participate, you may be asked to provide certain information which may include your personal data. Payment processing

Credit or Debit Card Payments. If you make payments through our Site using a credit or debit card, you will be required to provide personal information, such as your credit card number, to our third party payment gateway providers. Credit or debit card payments made on the Site are made through our payment gateway providers Adyen B.V., Simon Carmiggeltstraat 6-50, 5th floor, 1011 DJ Amsterdam, The Netherlands ("Adyen") and RatePAY GmbH, Schlüterstraße 39, 10629 Berlin, Germany ("RatePAY"). You will provide your credit or debit card information directly to Adyen or RatePAY. Information you provide to Adyen or RatePAY is not under our control and is subject to Adyen's or RatePAY's privacy policy, which is available here and

We do not store credit card numbers.

PayPal (Braintree). You can also pay via PayPal's Braintree payment gateway. PayPal (Europe) S.à r.l. et Cie, S.C.A., 22-24 Boulevard Royal, L-2449 Luxembourg ("PayPal") receives your email address, delivery address and details of the items you have purchased from us. Credit card payments with Klarna. We work with Klarna AB (publ) ("Klarna"), a financial services provider, as they offer convenient payment methods to our customers. Klarna's principal place of business is Sveavägen 46, 111 34 Stockholm, Sweden. Klarna is registered in the Swedish Companies Register under registration number 556737-0431 and licensed by and under the supervision of the Swedish Supervisory Authority (, Box 7821, 10397 Stockholm, Sweden and the Swedish Data Protection Authority (, Box 8114, 10420 Stockholm, Sweden.

Klarna offers various financing options. If you choose a financing option from Klarna, we will share your email address with Klarna. Klarna will check your creditworthiness and may request further information from you. If Klarna approves your credit application, we are required to provide your account information, which may include your name, address, email address, phone number and (if applicable) your payment history with Olav, as well as your order information, such as the payment method, shipping information, what was ordered and the like, to Klarna to further process the financing option at your request. This does not apply if you choose a payment method other than Klarna's financing option. The use of this data is governed by Klarna's privacy policy.

Refunds. Klarna also helps us process refunds, including refunds of credit payments, if you have chosen the Klarna financing option. Refunds are processed in accordance with our refund policy. The legal basis for this is Art. 6 (1) 1 lit. b DSGVO.


Cookies, automatic data collection and similar technologies. The Site collects and stores data that is automatically generated during your use, including your preferences and usage statistics. This includes data about the device you are using when you access the Site and your location. If you browse the Site but do not make a purchase or register an account, we may be able to associate a visit at a later time when you wish to make a purchase, register an account or otherwise interact with us with your previous visits to the Site and details of products you have viewed or purchased from us. A pixel is a piece of code embedded on the Site that collects data about a user's activity on the Site. For example, the use of a pixel allows us to record that a user has visited a particular page or clicked on a particular advertisement. Create customised target groups.

We also work with Google and Facebook to create a custom audience that, like interest-based cookies, displays our advertising to you when you interact with Facebook and Google's networks. We work with these companies to offer our content to existing and potential customers. We do this by transmitting a masked unique ID to such companies which is a cryptographic hash of your email so that your data is pseudonomysed, meaning that you cannot be identified from it unless additional data is added to that data (we do not share such additional data). This ID or code is compared to your equivalent unique code generated by our advertising partners Google and Facebook to tailor advertising to you. If you have opted out of receiving our marketing communications, our advertising using these custom targeting channels will no longer be displayed on Google and Facebook networks. However, you can still receive interest-based cookies that promote our products and are based on market segments (which you can update here).

We receive aggregated data from Facebook as well as percentages in relation to city, platforms or how many people have visited our site and/or made a purchase. You can opt out of these custom audience channels at any time.

Olav may share your data in certain circumstances
