The Olav knife is 100% Made in Germany (Solingen). We worked on the Olav Chef knife together with our partner 'Clauberg' in Solingen for over 2 years. Only the most experienced master grinders grind each Olav knife by hand to an extreme sharpness. The luxurious fine wood handles are made in the German Erzgebirge.
Olav's powder metallurgical high-tech steel is known as a renowned all-rounder steel. Thanks to the fantastic properties of Elmax steel, your knife remains rust-free and can be sharpened to extreme sharpness by diamond grinding thanks to its fine-grained carbide distribution.

Olav's own grinding service
For more than 2 years we worked together with the traditional company 'Clauberg' on the Olav Chef knife. Clauberg is one of the oldest sharpening families in Solingen and employs only the most experienced master sharpeners.
They grind the powder-metallurgical steel by hand to this thin, extreme sharpness.
